Overview

The UAE Tourism Leadership Programme is a series of executive education workshops in tourism that take place every year with a different theme. This year’s 3-day workshop is designed to equip participants with capacity, knowledge and skills in the field of Sustainability in Tourism destinations, as a major part of the national tourism strategy and overall sustainable development.

 

Delivered by two international sustainability experts, this workshop will follow a step-by-step practical methodology, with short presentations, discussions, debates, extensive group work and practical activities. The intention of this approach is for participants to fully understand the topic of Sustainable tourism, to stimulate the co-creation of knowledge and learning and to enable them to implement the acquired knowledge and skills in their work.

Ana Baez was Deputy Director of Costa Rica National Museum; Director of Ecotourism Master Degree Program and Dean of Tourism Faculty at Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología; Director of the first Ecotourism Program for Central America;. Academic: Professor and director of academic programs for American University, Stanford University, Florida State University, Universidad de Valencia, Universidad para la Paz, Universidad para la Cooperación Internacional, Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología.

Tim Clancy has 18 years of experience in sustainable tourism development (adventure, eco-tourism, mountain tourism, nation branding, travel writing, promotion, marketing, protected areas).
